So a few weeks ago, before News of the World published its last issue, I read an article about a perfume which was blind tested on 150 women. The perfume in question was Lidl's (German value supermarket) "Suddenly - Madame Glamour". Its opponent was Chanel's "Coco Mademoiselle". Surprisingly, the perfume which came out trumps was Lidl's £3.99 perfume!
I was very intrigued to see what all the fuss was about, and today - whilst helping out with the weekly food shop (8 weeks off of uni = food shopping is a highlight to my days of nothingness) I spotted the perfume and decided to buy it and give it a go.
..And I am definitely not disappointed! Suddenly does have similarities to its Chanel rival, but with a much nicer price tag! It has sweet floral scent, with soft, fruity undertones. I have been wearing this for 4 hours now and it has not yet faded...Sounds perfect doesn't it?
As of yet I am unable to find anything I don't like about this perfume, well, with a 50ml bottle of a Chanel dupe perfume, with a £3.99 perfume..whats not to love?

My fingertips are holding onto the cracks in our foundations...
Good-afternoon :]
So I wanted to do a post on nail-polishes, so below you find my 5 most reached for nail paints! Please excuse the shoddy application and quite frankly awful picture quality, my camera is as dead as a doornail, although my sister does have a very pretty Canon I may have to borrow..:]
Barry M - '304' (Mint Green)
This is pprobably my favourite Barry M nail paint. I love to wear it on my toes and it looks fantabulous with a tan.
Fearne Cotton - 'Silver'
This colour was in Fearne's Christmas 2010 nail collection for Boots. I absolutely love the colour, consistency and how long it stays on your nails for. Its not a pain to remove like most metallic nail polishes.
Eyeko Pastel Polish - no name? :[
I picked this pastel blue colour up in Superdrug around 6 months ago. It was all on its own on the counter, and was only £1! It does need a fair few coats but it stays on really well, and although a matte colour when on the nail, does have some purple reflects when in the bottle...swish :]
Bourjois So Laque - 28 (Rose Lounge)
I bought this polish the weekend of the Royal Wedding after it was rumoured that it was the nail paint of choice for Catherine Middleton. Not one to miss out on such a Royal product ;] I snapped this one up and I absolutely love it. Does also need a few coats but looks so beautiful, and is also chip resistant and stays on for 5 days + without re-application...bonus!
Barry M - 295 (Turquoise)
This is probably my most reached for nail polish. I have re-purchased this at least 3 times! Love to wear it when my nails are short and when I'm tanned. It looks great on and only needs one coat, so I can put it on when in a rush and I'm good to go!

We only said goodbye with words...
I don't want in anyway for my blog to be a place of doom and gloom. As visible from my header..I really do love 'all the pretty things' in life. However fluffy that may sound...I do not just mean materialistic items, but happiness in forms of love, friendships, hobbies, lifestyles.
One of my loves since I was little pudding has been music. Any type of music...pop, r'n'b, indie, jazz, soul...
Therefore I was completely gutted to hear of the passing of Amy Winehouse over the weekend.
Ofcourse, when any star passes all of these 'life-long fans' jump out of the closet claiming they were their biggest fans....pah!
Amy Winehouse is genuinely one of my favourite artists of all time, her album 'Back to Black' undoubtedly one of the most played on my iPod.
When I first heard her voice on the radio back in 2006, I thought it was one of the legendary voices that you hear on the radio on Sunday afternoons... not a 22 year old.
Her album 'Frank' was one of my first tastes of 'real' music, up until then I was 'Top 40 UK' obsessed...whatever was in the Top10 was my 'favourite' of the moment.
When you listen to her music..her powerful voice stops you in your tracks..her now legendary songs sang so effortlessly with such striking, sassy, meaningful lyrics really does make me feel sad to think that Amy Winehouse will no longer grace the music industry in such a unique and powerful way. She almost brought back the old jazz/contemporary/bluesy music back and made it 'cool' again, and for that I'm sure the British music industry will be eternally grateful.
Her passing is a tragic shame, and no matter what people say about her past problems, she was a 27 year old excited about music and life but has now joined that infamous '27 Club'.
At least shes in good company aye?
Sweet dreams...

Sometimes I feel like putting my hands up in the air...
I've finally joined the world of blogging! Very daunting as it may seem, I have been trailing through blog after blog for around a year now, admiring the beautiful layouts, and reading hundreds of posts on everything from make-up, books, interior design, baking, fashion..and today I suddenly had a 'I want a blog!' moment, and alas, here I am!
At this moment in time I can't really say what my blog will be about, whatever I fancy I suppose. The thing I like about blogging is there are no rules. There are no limits to the topics in which users can write about.
I like that. :]
I like that. :]
